I was browsing Ebay and had seen what I -thought- were Intec's aftermarket models of the Wii Classic Controller. They were on sale for $6.88 with $2 s&h so I thought I was getting a great deal as this controller normally runs for $19 a piece. Intec is a legit aftermarket gamepad company based in Miami Florida. What I ended up getting were actually clones of a clone, so to speak... ie: bootlegs manufactured by Shenzhen Kingline, whom after a bit of googling I came to see as a company that makes nothing but shoddy bootlegs which makes sense of the poor build quality of what I received...
Since I didn't actually get Intec merchandise, I don't know how I could do an accurate review. All I can tell you is to steer clear of anything that says "Kingline" in the oval above the 'Start Home Select' buttons (or just blank space) instead of Intec. Purchase from places like Amazon or [...], and if you must use Ebay like I did, ask the seller to tell you the brand name of the aftermarket manufacturer before considering a purchase. Also ask for pictures of the box and beware of anything with lots of misspellings and mistakes in the description.
As for the build quality if what I did get, it sucks... majorly. The zL's and zR's are stiff as hell and don't respond very quickly. The D-Pad itself is raised which is nice cuz then it's more like the old SNES pads, but it takes several presses in a direction to make it work. The sticks have practically no resistance and they have a crapton of "play" in them (meaning looseness). The Y X B A buttons also feel quite a bit stiff, not anywhere near as responsive as those on a genuine Nintendo Classic Controller. Usually I don't buy ambiguous Chinese trash, but I got fooled. Won't happen again...
